Privacy Policy

1. What we see (and what we do not)

Because there is no account and the tools run on your device, we see almost nothing about you or your work. We never receive what you type, calculate, save, or put in a report unless you deliberately send it, by asking Jim a question or writing to us in the feedback box (sections 3 and 4). Everything else stays on your device (see section 2). What we do collect on our own is small and anonymous:

• Anonymous usage counts through Google Analytics: which pages and tools get opened, and general device, browser, and approximate region. This is aggregate usage, not your inputs or results. We can see that a calculator was opened, never what you calculated in it. This uses cookies.
• Standard server logs from our host (such as IP address and browser type), kept briefly for security and to keep the site running.

The tools have no account, so we never ask for your name or your phone number. The one place we ask for an email address is the feedback box, where it is optional and is used only to write back to you (section 4).

2. Your work never leaves your device

The calculators run in your browser, on your phone or computer. Every job, reading, calculation, and unit record you save is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. The customer report PDF is built on your device too. None of it is sent to us on its own: nothing here uploads in the background, so we hold no copy to hand over, sell, or lose. The only way any of it reaches us is if you send it yourself, by asking Jim about a reading or attaching one to a message (sections 3 and 4). Clearing your browser data, or removing the app from your home screen, deletes it, and only you can do that.

3. Jim, the AI helper

Jim is optional. Nothing happens with him unless you choose to ask him a question. When you do, the reading and any notes you send are passed to our AI provider (OpenRouter) to generate the answer, which is then returned to you. A reading leaves your device only when you send it, here or through the feedback box below.

We do not store your Jim question or the conversation on our servers. OpenRouter processes your request to produce the answer under its own privacy terms. If you never open Jim, none of this applies, and your calculators and saved readings never touch it.

4. When you send us a message

The feedback box is optional, the same as Jim. Nothing is sent unless you type something and tap send.

When you do, we receive what you wrote and, if you sent it from a tool page, a link to that reading, so we can see the same numbers you were looking at. Your email address comes with it only if you choose to leave one, and we use it for one thing: to write back to you. We do not add you to any list.

Those messages are kept in a private spreadsheet only we can see, so we can read them and write back. Nothing else goes with them: your saved jobs, readings, unit records, and reports stay on your device.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for the site to work and Google Analytics cookies to understand usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the calculators still work.

6. Services we use

• Vercel: website hosting and delivery
• Google Analytics (GA4): anonymous usage analytics
• OpenRouter: the AI provider that answers your Jim questions, only when you ask Jim
• Google Workspace (Gmail and Sheets): where a message you send us is delivered and kept, only when you send one

Each operates under its own privacy policy. We only rely on what each needs to function.

7. What we do not do

• No accounts, no email gate, no signups. Every tool works without giving us anything
• No advertising and no ad trackers
• Your calculations and saved work never reach us unless you send them, so there is nothing for us to sell, rent, or share
• We never sell, rent, or share data with anyone, for any reason

8. Your choices

You can block cookies, use a Google Analytics opt-out, or browse privately. To ask about the anonymous usage counts we collect, or to raise a concern, email us at the address below.

9. Children

The site is a professional trade tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
